IPO
An Initial Public Offering (IPO) is the process by which a private company offers its shares to the public for the first time on a stock exchange. Through an IPO, a company can raise capital by selling shares to institutional and retail investors.
Once the IPO is complete, the company's shares become publicly traded, and it transitions from being privately held to a publicly listed entity.
